Lahore: Renowned Pakistani all-rounder Shahid Afridi has refuted media claims that he had joined Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), saying that he only met Nawaz Sharif in Lahore.
Afridi said that he visited Nawaz Sharif to offer condolence over the demise of his brother Abbas Sharif.
Earlier today, the local media reported that Shahid Afridi joined PML-N during his meeting with the party chief Nawaz Sharif.
Several Pakistani cricketers have joined politices and some of the renowned names include Imran Khan—Chief of Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaf—Amir Sohail, an activist of PML-N and Sarfaraz Nawaz, an activist of MQM.
