The wordy war between Sony PlayStation 4 and Microsoft Xbox 720 is getter hotter with every passing day.
Now an expert, actually founder of Atari, has jumped into the war putting his weight and believe in win of Microsoft gaming console in war of next generation consoles.
Nolan Bushnell is clear in his opinion regarding the win of US software giant, with a short legacy of products like Xbox and Surface tablet.
The reason for winning the console gaming in coming ages are two:
Software excellence
Online Infrastructure.
In Nolan’s view Microsoft is edging over Sony in both of these matters.
“Microsoft, because of their strong software tools, will end up with much better products sooner [and] easier, in my estimation,” VG 24/7 quoted Nolan as saying.
He went on saying “And with that, I think will be an advantage. And also don’t forget, Microsoft actually has so much money to defend this. Plus, they have a good infrastructure with the [Xbox Live Arcade], with their online world.”
In past Sony looked somehow lame in software system and the system understanding was hard to grasp. This has led a expert like Nolan to reach the conclusion that Sony’s major overhauling in software system of PS4 could once again be lame and hard to understand for software community, a backbone for success of any gaming project, whether PC or console.
But the story doesn’t end here. By making progress in software and online infrastructure, Sony could once again be on the right track. But will Sony executives listen to this call or not is a hard to answer question.
