Apple is working on a Gamepad which is likely to be compatible with iPad 5, iPad Mini 2 and for some extent, though not reported, with iPhone 5S or iPhone 6.
PocketGamer has reported that GDC 2013 makes it clear that Apple is all set to enter into the gamepad zone for its devices.
“Of course, there’s no official word yet, but Apple has been active during the conference talking to developers about its plans and ensuring plenty of games will support the joypad at launch,” the report further said.
However, the developers have confirmed it to PocketGamers that Apple is launching gamepad.
Samsung has already launched its gamepad as an accessory with its flagship device, Galaxy S4. The gamepad can be used with smartphone and tablets up to 6.3 inch display.
The official announcement from April is expected in April during the annual press event, where iPad’s official launching is rumoured.
