Muzaffargarh: Former MNA Jamshed Dasti has announced on Wednesday (today) not to take part in upcoming general elections 2013.
Jamshed Dasti was charged for holding a fake degree, hence the Supreme Court of Pakistan has disqualified him for the elections.
Earlier a day, Dasti appeared before the local court in a case pertaining to the authenticity of his degree. The court heard his arguments and later adjourned the hearing till Thursday.
The former MNA said while talking to media that he need time to file important documents to prove authenticity of his educational record and he hoped that justice would be served.
Previously, Jamshed Dasti has resigned from Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) on March 15 and filed papers from NA 177 and 178 of Muzaffargarh as independent candidates against former foreign minister Hina Rabbani Khar.
