London: An important progress has been made in the murder case of slain Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Imran Farooq after Scotland Yard carried out a search operation at a house in the capital.
Dr Imran Farooq was stabbed to death by unknown assailants in front of his residence in central London on September 16, 2010.
Talking to media representatives, the Scotland Yard official said that the search was carried out at a house in post locality of London by a counter-terrorism command of the ScotlandYard.
“No arrests were made during the operation,” he said adding that the police was making progress in the case through CCTV footage of the area.
“Almost 85, 870 documents were scrutinized and eight people were investigated during the search.”
