BANNU: At least two people were killed and 13 others including Awami National Party’s (ANP) election candidate Adnan Wazir injured in a blast near the party’s public rally in Bannu district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province here on Sunday.
Police said that the blast, targeting the convoy of Wazir, took place in Walinoor area of the district, adding that 15 people including the ANP candidate injured in the incident.
They said that police and rescue teams rushed at the spot and shifted the injured to the district headquarters hospital.
“Two injured succumbed to their wounds in the hospital while Wazir received minor injuries in the blast,” the police said.
