ISLAMABAD: The Interior Ministry on Saturday rejected applications seeking licensing of weapons.
The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has already imposed a ban on issuing weapon licences before the coming polls.
The ministry has also forwarded its recommendation to the ECP.
Interior ministry cited that a large number of applications were being received from political parties and individuals to issue them licence “for their own security”.
