Karachi: The Chief Minister Sindh is likely to send an advice to Governor Sindh Ishratul Ibad for the dissolution of the provincial assembly on Tuesday, indicating a consensus over interim CM between Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM).
According to sources, the assembly is likely to be dissolved on Tuesday (today) after a joint press conference from CM Sindh and opposition leader in the assembly, Syed Sardar Ahmed at Governor House, Karachi.
“CM Sindh Qaim Ali Shah has summoned a meeting of important ministers today to discuss the dissolution of the assembly,” they added.
“Out of several names given for the interim CM slot, Justice (retd) Zahid Qurban Alvi has emerged as the most favourite contender for the slot.”
Meanwhile, the information regarding the interim cabinet has emerged saying that the cabinet would contain 7 ministers from PPP, four from MQM while one each from Pakistan Sunni Tehrik and Awami National Party.
The ministers representing PPP would include Zia Lungar, Fauzia Jaffery, Umar Abbas, Agha Wasay, Dr Amjad, Shujaaat Ali, Fazlur Rehman. Pir Riaz Gul of ANP and Shahid Ghauri of PST will also represent their parties in the cabinet.
