Peshawar: At least five people were killed and 30 others injured when militants stormed into the Peshawar’s judicial complex and opened firing and attacked with hand grenades here on Monday, sources and Khyber Pakhtonkhwa’s information minister said.
Mian Iftikhar, the minister, said that one militant had blew himself up during the attack. He added that the militants had made some people hostage.
Few eye witnesses told a private news television, around 10 militants attacked the complex and tried to enter the room of a additional session judge.
Rescue teams rushed at the spot and shifted the injured to Lady Ready Hospital.
Morover, troops has also been reached at the site while police’s search operation is also underway.
Hospital sources said that the injured included four policemen, a woman, lawyers and civilians.
