Karachi: Rangers launched a targeted operation in Pak Colony and Lyari on Thursday after their two crew members were kidnapped and later found dead.
Bodies of the two officials, Hawaldar Muneer Ahmed Bhutto and Aijaz Ahmed Baloch, were found from the Mewa Shah graveyard in Karachi earlier in the day.
They belonged to the intelligence wing of Sindh Rangers and were kidnapped yesterday.
The Rangers arrested six terrorists and recovered three kidnapped people.
Media reports said that more than 1,000 Rangers personnel were taking part in the operation and 22 entry and exit points to the areas were blocked
Several commandos, armoured vehicles, motorcycle scouts and women officials took part in the operation.
