Shikarpur: At least four people have been killed and 12 other injured after a bomb blast ripped through a shrine in Shikarpur, a district of Pakistan’s Sindh province.
It was the second blast in the interior Sindh after a blast hit a religious gathering attended by Sain Hussain Shah, the Pir of Qambar Sharif on February 20, 2013.
Sources said that the blast hit Dargah Hajan Shah Mauri, located near Shikarpur, when a large number of devotees were visiting the shrine.
According to eyewitnesses, an unknown man was spotted leaving a suspicious looking bag at the scene, and the explosion followed as soon as he ran off.
The injured and the dead have been shifted to Civil Hospital Shikarpur.
The sources further said Syed Hajan Shah, the Gaddi Nasheed (a living descendant of the saint buried well as the custodian of the shrine) was also among the injured.
