Karachi: The Karachi Electric Supply Company (KESC) on Thursday said that it would invest $500 million in Karachi, a metropolitan of Pakistan, to improve the electric infrastructure across the city.
The views were expressed by KESC CEO Tabish Gohar during a meeting with the Minister for Water and Power, Ahmed Mukhtar.
Gohar said that the company would install a new plant to generate electricity from coal adding that the investment would help in providing undisrupted electricity to the metropolis.
He further said that transmission and distribution of electricity would also be improved in the city with the new investment.
