Islamabad: Former investigation chief of Ephedrine case Brigadier Fahim Khan wrote a letter to Narcotics secretary, stating that despite he was honestly doing his job, he was removed from the case after he expressed reservations about some Anti Narcotics Force (ANF) Karachi officials.
Fahim demanded a judicial inquiry of Ephedrine case No. 41. In his letter, former ANF force commander said that some ANF Karachi officials tried to influence the investigation.
“I summoned ANF Karachi’s joint and deputy directors in Rawalpindi for abetting the accused in the case. But despite my written application, the ANF director general formed a committee named ‘Court of Inquiry’ after four months,” he said.
Fahim accused the committee for biasness: “I investigated the case honestly and transparently but the committee is doing departmental inquiry against me rather than investigating about those officials.”
He also sent copies of the letter to the Supreme Court registrar, ANF DG and chief of legal department.
