Islamabad: Pakistani Information Minister Qamar Zaman Kaira said on Tuesday the ruling Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) will begin talks with the coalition parties over caretaker setup and assemblies’ dissolution as its internal discussions have been completed.
Speaking at a ceremony in Islamabad, Kaira said the government may announce dates for a caretaker setup and assemblies’ dissolution in seven to 10 days’ time.
Kaira said the PPP had constituted a committee to hold consultations with all parties in this regard.
Kaira moreover said the leader of the opposition in the National Assembly Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan should provide Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf with two instead of six names for an interim prime minister.
Of a government’s agreement with the chief of the Minhajul Quran International chief Tahirul Qadri, Kaira the government was bound to implement it.
