Islamabad: A high level meeting of coalition partners of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) in the federal government is underway at President House, Islamabad under the chair of President Asif Ali Zardari.
According to sources, the meeting is mulling over to finalize the date of the dissolution of the provincial and federal assembles and appointment of the interim prime minister.
The most favourite contender for the interim PM is Abdullah Hussain Haroon, the former Pakistan ambassador to the United Nations and a grandson of late Sir Abdullah Haroon.
The 63-year-old former envoy to the UN is businessman, social activist and ex-speaker of Sindh Assembly. Hussain Haroon is the elder brother of Hameed Haroon.
The participants of meeting include Raza Haroon and Nasreen Jalil from Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain and Mushahid Hussain Syed from Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q), Haji Adeel and Afrasiyab Khattak from Awami National Party (ANP) and Munir Orakzai and Hamid ullah Jan from Federally administered Tribal Areas (FATA).
