Islamabad: Pakistan’s Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf and Interior Minister Rehman Malik on Monday night telephoned President Asif Ali Zardari.
According to sources, both of them informed the president regarding the increasing tense situation in the capital city of the country after an announcement from Pakistan Awami Tehrik (PAT) Leader.
Meanwhile, an urgent meeting was called at the interior Ministry of Pakistan in order to tackle the threat given by Pakistan Awami Tehrik (PAT) leader Dr Tahirul Qadri.
According to interior ministry sources, the authorities were mulling over to negotiate with the PAT administration.
Earlier, Dr Tahirul Qadri refused to give his first speech at Jinnah Avenue in Islamabad, the capital city of Pakistan, and said that he would give his speech only in front of Parliament House of Pakistan.
Addressing a mass rally at Jinnah Square in Islamabad, the PAT leader said that the current governments had lost their mandates and therefore he gave them a deadline till morning to resign from their assemblies on their own.
“Today the fake governments have lost their mandates,” he said adding that he invite President Asif Ali Zardari and ministers to join his revolution.
The religious scholar said that that the president and ministers were no more on their posts and had become the former president and ministers.
