Islamabad: The Islamabad administration on Monday accepted the demand of Pakistan Awami Tehrik (PAT) Leader Dr. Tahirul Qadri and allowed him to stage his sit-in at D-chowk, in front of Parliament House.
According to sources, the agreement was made after talks between the local administration officials and representatives from the PAT.
Earlier, Pakistan Awami Tehrik (PAT) Leader Dr Tahirul Qadri refused to give his first speech at Jinnah Avenue in Islamabad, the capital city of Pakistan, and said that he would give his speech only in front of Parliament House of Pakistan.
Addressing a mass rally at Jinnah Square in Islamabad, the PAT leader said that the current governments had lost their mandates and therefore he gave them a deadline till morning to resign from their assemblies on their own.
Meanwhile, Pakistan Army was also summoned at Parliament House in order to safeguard the symbol of democracy in the country.
