Islamabad: The All Pakistan Compressed Natural Gas Association (APCNGA) Chairman Ghiyas Abdullah Paracha on Tuesday said that there is no shortage of gas in country and the CNG crisis is artificial.
Speaking to a press conference after protests against the policies of the government, he said that CNG crisis was planned to receive kickbacks in import of liquid gasses.
He said that planned crisis had left millions jobless while investments in the CNG sector to the tune of Rs 400 billion are in red.
Ghiyas Abdullah Paracha said that government should immediately take steps to resolve the crisis and announce acceptable pricing formula otherwise APCNGA would stage a sit-in in the federal capital.
He said that delaying resolution of the crisis would add to uncertainty and miseries of the masses braving problems in merciless winter.
He said that civil society, transporters, unemployed CNG workers, and masses would join CNG filling stations owners in the sit-in.
