Kandhkot: Death toll by deadly measles reached 284 as at least five children fall prey to the epidemic on Sunday in Kandhkot district.
According to sources 117 children died of the epidemic in the said district only which was the most affected district of interior Sindh.
Sources said that since the fatal epidemic broke out in Sindh, 69 children have died in Sukkur, 35 in Khairpur, 22 in Ghotki while 16 in Shikarpur so far.
Provincial health ministry said that the vaccination process would be completed by January 11.
Meanwhile the epidemic also affected sixteen children in Sibi district of Balochistan.
