Karachi: At least three more children fell prey to measles in Sindh during last 24 hours, taking the death toll to 253, sources said on Friday.
The epidemic has affected more than 80 towns in Guddu, Kashmore and Tangwani districts.
Locals people say 12 children died in Ghotki, four in Thul and 35 in Khairpur while dozens of deaths due to the disease did not reported.
Anti-measles vaccination is continued in the region but the disease seems to be out of control.
Authorities says around 150,000 children have been provided the vaccine and 200,000 more would be vaccinated by January 11.
