Lahore: President, Muslim League-N, Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has lashed out at the newly emerging politician Tahir-ul-Qadri of arriving in Pakistan with an agenda of derailing the electoral process.
“We all not allow such jugglery to happen in the country,” he said during a joint press conference with chairman Jamhori Watan Party (JWP), Nawab Talal Bugti in Lahore on Thursday.
He further said that ‘Sheikh-ul Islam’ does not want the interim setup. “Dr Tahir has functioned as the right hand of Gen (retd) Pervez Musharraf in the past,” he said.
Nawaz also lashed out at PTI, saying they are the associates of Gen (retd) Musharraf. Apparently criticizing MQM chief Altaf Hussain, he said, “Those who speak from London are also with the dictator.”
Reacting on the repeated claims of chairman Awami Tehrik of turning Islamabad into Tahrir Square on January 14, he said those that converged in Egypt had a clean past.
The former Prime Minister asked Dr. Tahir to become part of the electoral process if he really wanted to bring change in the country. “These elements are attempting to hijack the mandate of PML-N,” he claimed.
Speaking on the occasion, Talal Bugti said that that they will fight in unison against those ‘corrupting the system’. He stressed the need to safe the nation from the agenda of ‘imported politicians’.
It may be mentioned here that on October 8, 2012, Talal Bugti had offered the PML-N chief of forming grand alliance to end the crises facing the country.
