New Delhi: Following an increase in crimes against women and Delhi gang-rape incident, several Delhi girls have joined martial arts classes to deal with any such incident.
An Indian women athletes, who bagged bronze medal for India in 1994’s Asian Games, has arranged self-defence classes for the girls living the capital, dubbed as rape-capital.
Large numbers of girls are taking part in the classes being organised at Jantar Mantar Park to learn judo and martial arts.
The athlete has urged schools and colleges to make martial arts education compulsory for every female student.
