Peshawar: Pakistani security officials on Friday sealed Torkham border, a border between Pakistan and Afghanistan, once again after the Afghan National Army tortured two Pakistani labourers in the neighbouring country.
Sources said that it was not the first time the Afghan forces had tortured Pakistani labourers.
“It seems that the Afghan security forces are using these tactics to force Pakistani labourers out of their country,” they added.
Earlier on December 22, Afghan officials snatched passports of 29 Pakistani labourers, who were returning from Kabul after earning money and subjected them to torture.
The Pak-Afghan border has been closed from Torkham point for indefinite period,” the sources said.
The border closure has caused traffic jam on both sides.
