Bangalore: India cricket team on Tuesday set a moderate target of 134 runs in the first Twenty20 match played against Pakistan at M.Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru, India.
Pakistan cricket team won the toss of the 1st Twenty20 and decided to ball first.
The Indian team got to a blistering start with Ajinkya Rahane scoring 42 runs on 31 balls and Gautum Gambhi 43 on 41 balls. The other Indian batsmen failed to capatalise the start and got out one by one. The hosts scored 134 runs for the loss of nine wickets in the 20th over.
Pakistani bowlers bowled well to restrict their opponents to a moderate target. Tall fast bowler, Mohammad Irfan, created difficulties through his long arm action and took one wicket in his four over spell. Umar Gul was the pick of the bowler with three wickets in the match. Saeed Ajmal took two wickets and Shahid Afridi send one Indian player to the pavilion.
