Dubai: Pakistan’s former president General (retd) Pervez Musharraf on Tuesday said that army is worried about the prevalent situation in Pakistan.
Talking to media in Dubai, the chief of All Pakistan Muslim League (APML) said that the current political insecurity in the country had raised concerns in the top military brass but contradicted to the views that military was planning to takeover the democratic system.
It is to be mentioned here that several analysts had raised suspicions over next general elections saying that after killing of senior Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhua (KPK), Bashir Bilour, in a Taliban suicide attack, it seemed that the next elections would be bloody.
Musharraf further said that in culture of politics friends and foes do get together.
The ex-president also applauded the vision of Dr Tahir-ul Qadri and said that he was a moderate religious scholar and politician.
