Islamabad: Opposition leader in Pakistan’s National Assembly Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan on Friday said that the Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) will strongly oppose the tax amnesty bill and accountability bill in the assembly.
Talking to media representatives in Islamabad, Nisar said that the PML-N would not accept those bills and if they would be approved by the parliament, PML-N would terminate them after coming into power.
Responding on the fair trial bill passed in the assembly on Thursday, Nisar said that it was wrong perception created by media that the bill was approved with consensus.
“Fair trial bill was approved by the majority, not with the consensus of the assembly,” he added.
He also said that the party had some reservations on the bill as some of its amendments violate the human rights of the people.
The PML-N leader also lashed out at President Zardari’s decision to appoint new governor in Punjab and said that the change would not affect PML-N and the next elections would be won by the parties on the basis of their performances.
