Islamabad: Pakistan Commerce Ministry has announced that it would grant India the status of Most Favoured Nation (MFN) after a period of 10 days.
News sources said a notification in this regard is likely to be issued on December 30 after an approval by the federal cabinet, which has already given an informal nod to the proposal. If approved, it will come in effect on January 1.
The ministry said that after the enforcement of the proposal, ‘Negative List’ of trade with the neighboring country will be eliminated. It, however, made it clear that there will be no trade with India at the Monabao and Khokrapar border.
