Karachi: Shia Ulema Council announced to end ‘Sit-Down Strike’ after successful negotiation with Sindh Governor Dr. Ishrat-ul-Ebad on Sunday mid-night.
Earlier the council started the strike against target-killing and bad law and order situation in the metropolis. They made huge gathering including women and children at Numaish Chowrangi which continued 39 hours even during tough weather conditions.
Yesterday Sindh Chief Minister (CM) Syed Qaim Ali Shah and the governor sent Karachi Commissioner Syed Hashim Raza Zaidi to talk with the council but council refused to hold dialogue with him.
Today between the council and said governor a meeting was held at governor house late night which was successful as the council announced to end its strike.
