Islamabad: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Thursday insisted that the country is facing rupees six billion to seven billion corruption daily.
According to Urdu daily Jang, spokesman NAB said they are ‘ready to join any forum to prove what they said’. It termed objection of federal cabinet in this regard ‘pointless’. He urged all stakeholders to work in unison to eliminate corruption from the country.
“NAB chairman will appear before the cabinet if asked.” He announced that details to the said claim will be presented tomorrow (Friday).
The spokesman said since March 2012, corruption of 1.97 billion in 173 federal and provincial projects was stopped by the bureau.
