Charsadda: A remote-controlled bomb blast on Monday near the Jalsa place in Charsadda town, about 30 kilometres northeast of Peshawar, where Awami National Party Chief Asfandyar Wali Khan had to address the public gathering has left two people severely injured.
The bomb planted at a car parking area exploded right when the Jalsa had started, injuring two men while the casualties have not been reported yet, local police said.
The rescue forces have rushed the injured to the nearby hospitals while the area has been cordoned off and the investigations have begun.
However, the gathering is still going in full swing as the local leaders of Awami National Party continue to address the gathering and waiting for their leader to come and address.
The security has been beefed up to avert any further mishap.
