Lahore: Government of Pakistan has said that it has devised a strategy to halt drone strikes in the country.
This was informed during the hearing of a case filed in this regard at Lahore High Court.
It said that it is expecting the policy to be approved in a few days. Further measures relating to the issue are underway, it added. It was contended in the petition that the air strikes are completely against national sovereignty and security and, thus, must be stopped at once.
The case proceedings were adjourned till December 13. It may be mentioned here that the strikes have been causing widespread damage and caused great number of casualties in the tribal areas of Pakistan.
