Karachi: Intel Pakistan today concluded the Sindh Provincial Science Fair in the run-up to the IntelĀ® International Science and Engineering Fair (IntelĀ® ISEF), one of the world’s largest pre-college science competitions, to be held in Phoenix, Arizona in May 2013. During the Sindh Science Fair, students from across the province presented research-based projects in the categories of Biology, Chemistry, Computer Sciences, Mathematics and Physics. More than 90 projects from all over Sindh competed in the fair. Present at the occasion was Cdre (Retd.) Talib Hussain, TI (M), Education Director, Defence Housing Authority, as the Chief Guest.
Winners of the Sindh Provincial Science Fair will be eligible to compete at the National Science Fair, which will take place in Islamabad early next year. Projects will be assessed by a panel of renowned judges, with winners eligible to compete at the 2013 IntelĀ® ISEF which will be held from May 12th to May 17th in Phoenix, Arizona.

The IntelĀ® International Science and Engineering FairĀ® (Intel ISEF), the worldās largest international pre-college science competition, annually provides a forum for more than 1,600 high school students from about 70 countries, regions, and territories to showcase their independent research.
The Intel ISEF is the premiere science competition in the world exclusively for students in grades 9ā12. Today, millions of students worldwide compete each year in local and school-sponsored science fairs; the winners of these events go on to participate in Intel ISEF-affiliated regional and state fairs from which the best win the opportunity to attend the Intel ISEF. The Intel ISEF unites these top young scientific minds, showcasing their talent on an international stage, enabling them to submit their work to judging by doctoral level scientistsāand providing the opportunity to compete for over $3 million in prizes and scholarships.
