Islamabad: Arrest warrants of Balochistan Assembly’s opposition leader Yar Muhammad Rind were issued on Monday hours after the Supreme Court of Pakistan accepted his interim bail plea.
According to sources, the prosecution submitted the warrants to SP Secretariat Police Station.
Balochistan government has said that there were serious accusations against the opposition leader.
Later, Rind said the SC has accepted his bail plea in six cases. He said the Balochistan government was pursuing a vendetta against him.
He said he himself presented before the SC and the apex court did justice to him.
Earlier, the SC bench hearing Rind’s bail plea has directed the authorities to release him if he is not involved in any other case.
The apex court has also directed Rind to submit a surety bond of Rs500,000.
