Birmingham: Daughter of Pakistan’s President AsiF Ali Zardari, Asifa Bhutto Zardari Friday telephoned 15-year old peace activist Malala Yousafzai and inquired about the health of the girl, who was attacked by Taliban in Swat area of Pakistan.
Malala Yousafzai is being treated at Queen Elizabeth hospital and the doctors had hoped that the girl would soon recover from her head injury.
Talking to media, Asifa said that Malala thanked President Zardari for providing best available medical facilities.
“President, Bilawal Bhutto, Bakhtawar Bhutto and the whole Pakistani nation are praying for the recovery of Malala Yousafzai,” she said.
The president’s daughter further hoped that the peace activist would continue to work in accomplishing her mission after recovering from the bullet wounds.
