Karachi: Pakistan’s President Asif Ali Zardari Wednesday expressed grief over the widespread destruction caused by Hurricane Sandy in the United States.
It is to be mentioned here that more than 50 people including 24 people in New York, have been killed after the Hurricane Sandy hit Eastern part of United States.
Almost 6.5 million people are suffering from electric shutdown in various parts of the country while many houses and other building have either flown away in the flood or destroyed due to fire.
The President expressed his sympathies for the affected people and wished for them an early rehabilitation.
Talking to Pakistan’s ambassador in United States, Sherry Rehman, at Bilawal House, President Zardari inquired about the well-being of the Pakistani community present in the affected areas and advised the ambassador to provide all possible help to the affected people.
