Guangzhou: Indian women’s cricket team defeated Pakistan Women’s team in a low scoring match to win Asian Cricket Council Women’s T20 final played at Guanggong International Cricket Stadium in Guangzhou on Wednesday.
Pakistan women’s in reply to low total lost an early wicket but skipper Sana Mir, Bismah Mahroof and Nain Abidi tried to fight back but failed. Bismah Mahroof scored 18 runs while middle order Bats woman Nain Abidi made 13. Pakistan was all out on 61
India’s Archana Das and Nagarajan Niranjana share two wickets each.
Earlier India won the toss and decided to bat first. The bating side lost early wickets making it not to put a big total against Pakistan.
Indian middle order bats woman Poonam Raut was the top scorer with 25, Reema Malhotra scored 22 while skipper Harmanpreet Kaur made 20 runs. Indian women’s team got all out on 81 runs.
Pakistan’s skipper Sana Mir took 4 wickets while Bismah Maroof took 2 wickets.
India won the match by 18 runs.
