Guangzhou: Despite losing to Indian women team by eight wickets in a group match on Sunday, Pakistan women qualify for the semifinal of the Asian Cricket Council Women’s Twenty20 Asia Cup.
Pakistan Women won the toss and elected to bat against the arch rivals. India put great effort and kept the pressure on Pakistan throughout their bowling and bowled out the neighboring country on 93 runs in 18.3 overs.
Marina Iqbal was the top scorer for the green shirts with 22 runs while Nain Abidi made 21.
India’s Archana Das and Reema Malhotra took two wickets each.
India chased the target comprehensively with the loss of two wickets in 18.3 overs with Mithal Raj’s unbeaten 36 runs.
India to take on Sri Lanka in the semi-final while Pakistan will face Bangladesh in semi-finals of the ACC Women’s Twenty20 Asia Cup on Tuesday.
