A five-member bench of the apex court headed by Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali resumed the hearing the suo motu case — regarding implementation of its ruling over Karachi law-and-order — in the Karachi registry.
During the hearing, the KMC officials and the Sindh revenue department also submitted their records during the hearing.
The bench issued contempt notice to Sindh Chief Secretary, Karachi Municipal Corporation’s (KMC) director survey, senior member board of revenue and director survey for not conducting the land survey on Sindh High Court (SHC) order.
The SC also summoned the board of revenue’s senior member, who is on health leaves, on next hearing and directed the advocate general to provide the list of all the members of the board of revenue.
