Islamabad: Defence Secretary Lieutenant General (R) Yasin Malik has been appointed as new Chairman of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA).
The airline was running without permanent chairman since September 18 after the resignation of Rao Qamar Suleman, the former Pakistan Air Force chief, from his post as the head of the PIA.
According to a report, Yasin will reach Islamabad today (Thursday) with Defence Minister Naveed Qamar to take the charge of his new office.
