Lahore: The opening ceremony of the Punjab Youth Festival 2012 saw thousands of students as well as audience trying to create a world record of singing the Pakistan national anthem during the event on Saturday.
The participants remained busy in full-dress rehearsal of the activity at the stadium.
The formal record beating singing would start after the arrival of Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif and officials of Guinness World Records.
Eariler, The Sports Board Punjab claimed that at least 24,000 students and athletes as well as 60,000 audience will sing at the National Hockey Stadium on Saturday night.
