Islamabad: Pakistan’s Interior Minister Rehman Malik Monday announced Rs 1 billion for the person who would help security forces in identifying the assailants who attacked Malala Yousafzai in Maingora, Swat area of Pakistan.
The interior minister said that the attack on 14 year old peace activist Malala Yousafzai was planned outside Pakistan while one of the attacker had been identified.
“We will arrest the culprits involved in the brutal act at any cost,” he said adding banned out Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) was behind the attack.
Malik further said that that Pakistan army was facing militancy threats from inside and outside Pakistan. “Almost 79 cross border attacks from Afghanistan were carried out by militants.”
“Taliban are working on the agenda of disrupting peace in Pakistan,” he said adding that militants did not belong to any religion.
