Bannu: At least 25 labourers have been abducted from Bannu district in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, police said on Monday.
The police said the incident took place in Mandan Gate area of the district when armed man tempted the labourers by offering Rs 1000 per day wage before taking them away to  North Waziristan.
Witnesses said that some people on two vehicles came in the area and enticed the labourers who were sitting along the road.
According to the witnesses, the men asked the labourers they would be given Rs 1000 per day pay if they agreed to work in North Wazristan.
The police said a party was sent to the tribal region to recover trace the missing labourers but to no avail.
Political authorities in the tribal area have also confirmed the reports of laborers’ kidnapping.
