Karachi: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Sunday organised public meetings across Pakistan applauding the courage of a 14 year old peace activist Malala Yousafzai against the terror outfit, Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP). MQM Chief Altaf Hussain addressed the meetings simultaneously held in almost 34 cities.
Altaf Hussain termed the attack, calimed by TTP, as coward and shameful and demanded the country’s law enforcement authorities to crush the hideouts of militant elements in North Waziristan.
He called the Taliban gunmen who attacked Yousufzai “beasts” and said the shooting was an attack on “the ideology of Pakistan”.
“If you want a Pakistan based on Quaid-e-Azam’s ideology then you will have to stand up to the Taliban.”
The MQM Chief also demanded Ulema and religious scholars in the country to take strong stance against the Taliban. He further asked people to boycott all clerics who failed to condemn the militants’ action.
