Islamabad: Senior lawyer and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Senator Aitzaz Ahsan has said that the Supreme Court of Pakistan has accepted the same arguments presented by law minister Farooq H Naik those have have been denied when he had corroborated his stance on Swiss letter while representing former prime minister Yousuf Raza Gilani.
Speaking to media on Wednesday, he said that the SC had accepted the letter draft, seeking presidential immunity ,which he advocated and was denied.
He said that Yousuf Raza Gilani was not given much time but in Raja Pervez Ashraf’s case the apex court gave him much time to plead his case.
The senior jurist said that it was a good news that the issue has been resolved. Ahsan lauded Naik convincing the court on the issue, the task which he could not accomplish.
