Lahore: Pakistan Cricket team few players on Saturday returned home after participating in International Cricket Council (ICC) T20 World Cup.
Those who returned after losing to Sri Lanka in the semi final include skipper Mohamed Hafeez, all-rounder Abdul Razzaq, wicket keeper Kamran Akmal, middle order batsman Umer Akmal, opner Imran Nazir, Nasir Jamshed and fast bowler Sohail Tanvir.
Pakistan Skipper Mohammed Hafeez, while taking to media, said, “I am very thankful to people of Pakistan that they supported us, overall team performed really well in the tournament”.
“Shahid Afridi have disappointed us,” he said and added that “decision to select Sohail Tanvir in the semi final was taken by team management”.
He further said that middle odder collapse in the semi final and pitch was difficult for both the teams.
He further said Nasir Jamshed that he was unlucky in the tournament that he fell prey to umpire’s wrong decision.
All-rounder Abdul Razzaq told media “we have lost a golden opportunity of winning the tournament”.
Replying a question about the decision to drop him in a curtail match, he said that the team management or captain would answer the query.
