Quetta: National Judicial Policy Making Committee chairman and Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry has said that the Law and Justice Commission did not implement the recommendations of the committee.
He was chairing a meeting of the committee here in Balochistan High Court building on Saturday. In his opening speech the CJ said that benefits of judicial policy have reached the people in a short time but there was need to take some more measures.
He said that the recommendations of the policy making committee should be implemented as soon as possible.
The CJ said that the people consider the judiciary as redeemer and it was its responsibility to ensure dispensation of speedy justice.
He was of the view that rule of law, dispensation of justice and good governance were key for the stability in a society.
The meeting was attended by chief justices of the four provinces, Federal Shariat Court and Islamabad High Court.
