Lahore: Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) have decided to place joint candidates in the upcoming by-elections.
After a meeting between PPP and PML-Q members, president of PPP Punjab chapter Imtiaz Safdar Waraich said that the both parties will defeat PML-N in the next by-elections.
The PPP leader rejected the recent poll carried out by International Republican Institution (IRI), which claimed that PML-N is the most popular political outfit in Pakistan.
“Fake polls cannot defame PPP,” he said adding that the party would win the next elections with a heavy mandate.
On the occasion, PML-Q leader Kamil Ali Agha said that they had finalized the names of candidates and now final announcement would be made by the leadership of both parties.
