Quetta: Qadir Zehri, a provincial leader of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), along with his two bodyguards, was shot dead by unidentified motorcyclists in Hub area of Pakistan’s largest province Balochistan.
According to the police, travelling in his vehicle on Sakuran road, the miscreants opened fire on the Zehri’s car, killing him and his two guards on the spot.
The bodies of the deceased were shifted to a nearby hospital. The body guards were identified as Jamal and Aziz.
“The incident appears to be a case of target killing,” a police official said, adding that investigation into the incident was under way to unearth the motive behind the killing.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack till the filing of this report.
