London: A week after it made its worldwide debut, Apple iPhone 5 will be rolled out in 22 more nations on Friday (today).
According to a report, the smartphone will finally on its way to America’s regional carriers that include Cellcom, nTelos, Appalachian Wireless, C Spire, GCI, and Cricket.
“US Cellular, the country’s seventh-largest carrier, has never offered Apple’s devices,” the verge reports.
The 16GB model will be available from $149.99 ($50 less than at the major carriers) atCellcom, nTelos, and Appalachian, with 32GB and 64GB upgrades for an extra $100 and $200, respectively. C Spire and GCI, on the other hand, are keeping quiet on pricing until the phone is in stores. Lastly, at Cricket the device starts at $499.99 off-contract, making some of us wish we had held off with our pre-orders. Then again, we would have missed out on that sweet launch-day fervor.
The 22 nations are:
Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland.
If your country is not on list above, don’t give up hope because Apple says it will be in more than 100 countries by the end of the year.
