Islamabad: Pakistan’s Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf Tuesday called on President Asif Ali Zardari and discussed the draft for the letter that has to be sent to Swiss authorities.
According to sources, in a meeting at President House, Islamabad, the Minister of Law Farooq H. Naek briefed the president and prime minister about the proceedings in the NRO case/contempt of court case.
Various points regarding the Swiss letter draft came under discussion.
The sources further said that Zardari and Ashraf both agreed to comply with the Supreme Court order.
Earlier in the day, the SC during the hearing of contempt of court proceedings gave the government time till September 25 to draft the letter and present it in the court.
The court also exempted the prime minister from personally appearing in the next hearing.
